Business Development Analyst
Solomon Islands Electricity Authority trading as Solomon Power invites applications from qualified individuals for Business Development Analyst position. The role will lead, manage and implement the key strategic initiatives in the Solomon Power Business Development Strategy focus mainly in finding other revenue streams for the company.
Reporting directly to the Manager Business Development, the role will drive the growth and expansion into other revenue streams for the company, through analyzing market trends, identifying growth opportunities, and providing strategic insights to support business development initiatives. Solomon Power. It is a fixed term role subject to renewal and the incumbent will ensure:
- Solomon Power’s Business Development Strategy implementation
- Well informed management through accurate and timely reporting.
- Teamwork and Corporation ensured

Qualification: Degree in Business, Commerce or Marketing
Experience:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in business analysis or a related field
- High level of computer Literate
- Results oriented and ability to deliver outcomes under pressure and difficult circumstances
- Ability to understand and demonstrate the strategic perspective in analysis and contribute to strategy in the relevant skill area
- Supports and encourages innovation and the testing out of new approaches

Asset and Standards Engineer
Solomon Islands Electricity Authority trading as Solomon Power invites applications from qualified individuals for Asset and Standards Engineer position. The Assets and Standard engineer is responsible for the key support required in the team for the safe execution of key asset management strategies, asset planning, monitoring of asset classes within the asset register, operational maintenance tactics, plans, forecasts, work schedules to ensure compliance with Solomon Power codes and regulations and engineering tasks required for the delivery of the team’s and organization’s objectives.
The position role reports to Manager Planning. It is a full time role and the incumbent will ensure:
- Engineering effectiveness/ Effective and efficient Asset Management Plans
- Technical expertise, advice and support provided.
- Quality and timely reports provided
- A healthy, safe and OHS compliant Solomon Power
- Compliance adhered
- Solomon power image and value standards demonstrated at all times
Qualification: Degree in Electrical Engineering
Experience:
- At least 5 – 10 years of good, solid Electrical Engineering experience
- Use of logic and reasoning to identify strengths & weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problem solving
- Detailed understanding and application of option analysis tools e.g. NPV.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills & strong, developed report writing abilities
- Appreciation and knowledge of safety policies, procedures and requirements
- Advanced Excel /modelling skills
- Advanced level of Electrical Engineering
- Strong stakeholder management & customer services skills
