ADMINISTRATION ASSISTANT OFFICER – PROJECT

 

Solomon Islands Electricity Authority trading as Solomon Power invites applications from qualified individuals for our Administration Assistant Officer – Project role. The Administration Assistant Officer will provide the administrative support to the Tina Hydro Project Team within the Special project Team. It will provide the coordination of Tina Hydro project specific activities between Solomon Power and key stakeholders ensuring efficient and effective management is well supported

The role reports to Project Manager and Planning. It is a two year fixed term role and the incumbent will ensure;

  • Operational Management of the Special Project Programs are handled efficiently in a timely manner
  • Well informed Management through accurate and timely reporting
  • Compliant and upholding standard procedures
  • Satisfied customers through quality service delivery
  • A healthy, safe and OHS compliant Solomon Power
  • Environmental protection is prioritized at all times
  • Organizational Values promoted and demonstrated at all times

Qualification/Experience: Degree in Business Administration or Management with relevant experience

  • At least 3 years’ experience in Admin or similar role
  • Proficiency in MS Office, with exceptional knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
  • Working knowledge of Google Docs Share Point
  • Knowledge of project and task management tools
  • Appreciation and knowledge of safety policies, procedures and requirements

Power Station Operator, Solomon Power

 

Solomon Islands Electricity Authority trading as Solomon Power invites applications from qualified individuals for Power Station Operator role – Tulagi Outstation. The Power Station Operators will be responsible for monitoring, controlling of generators and accurate recording of all generator operational parameters.

The role reports to Power Station Operator Team Leader, Solomon Power. It is a full-time role and the incumbent will ensure:

  • Efficient monitoring and control of generators and accurate recording of all generator operational parameters
  • Technical effectiveness and efficiency of plant operations ensured
  • Effective, Quality and timely reports
  • A healthy, safe and OHS compliant workplace is ensured
  • Environmental Management is supported and promoted
  • Solomon Power image upheld and values demonstrated at all times

Qualification: Trade Certificate Mechanical Engineering

Experience:

  • At least One to two years of experience in a similar industry
  • Good written and oral communication skills in English
  • Accurate and correct reporting skills both written and verbal
  • Good Analytical skill and ability
  • High Customer relations service skills

Chief Accountant, Solomon Power

 

Solomon Islands Electricity Authority trading as Solomon Power invites applications from qualified individuals for Chief Accountant position.  The position will oversees the accounting management operations of Solomon Power.

The role reports to the Manager Finance., Solomon Power. It is a full-time role and the incumbent will ensure:

  • Finance Operations effectively managed
  • Financial Accounts accurately managed
  • Well informed management through accurate and timely reporting
  • Risk management effectively implemented and monitored
  • A strategically focused department

Qualification: Degree in Accounting

Experience:

  • At least three to Five years of experience as a Senior Accountant
  • Excellent command of English (written and oral)
  • Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA)
  • Certified Chartered Accountant
