PROJECT DETAIL: Refurbishment of the 150kW Buala Hydro system

The 150kW Buala Mini hydro was commisioned in 1996 but had not operated reliably since. It was put out of service in 2007. This World Bank supported project aims to rehabilitate and put back into service this hydro scheme. 5 international firms were invited to bid for the works and SIEA is hoping to get it back online toward the end of 2015.
