PLANNING ENGINEER
Solomon Islands Electricity Authority trading as Solomon Power invites applications from qualified individuals for our Planning Engineer role. The Planning Engineer role will provide important support required within the Planning Team for the safe execution of key engineering tasks required for the delivery of the Team’s objectives.
The role reports to Manager Planning, Solomon Power. It is a full-time role and the incumbent will ensure:
- Technical/engineering effectiveness
- Provide technical expertise
- Deliver accurate and timely report
- Advice, Support and Training
- A healthy, safe and OHS compliant & Service Quality Commitments to Stakeholders
- Support organizational strategic direction
Qualification: Degree in Electrical Engineering or Advance Diploma in Electrical Engineering with relevant experience
Experience:
- At least 3- 5 years of good, solid Electrical Experience
- Detailed understanding and application of option analysis tools e.g. NPV
- Highly Computer literate / already using specialized software; e.g. Carl
- Good written and oral communication skills in English
- Accurate and correct reporting skills both written and verbal
- Good Analytical skill and ability
- High Customer relations service skills
