Solomon Power is informing its valued customers and the general public that disruptions to power supply experienced over the weekend till now is due to a fault with its 33kV Over Head transmission line. Currently all transmission of power is by the Under Ground cable which is unable to carry maximum load for the whole city. Therefore a Load Shedding schedule is now put in place until the Overhead Transmission line and generators at Honiara Power Station are fixed. The load shedding schedule is as follows:

8am-10am Feeder 1: Parts of Hibiscus Avenue(High Court, Ministry of Lands, Kalala House), Lengakiki areas, Mbumburu, Titinge, Mbokona, Choviri, Kaibia Heights, West Vavaya Ridge, Mbokonavera 1, 2, 3 and 4, Tehamurina, Ngossi
Feeder 3: King Solomon Hotel, Mud Alley(Australian High Commission), Solomon Plaza, West end of Mendana Avenue(Prime Minister’s  Office, Ministry of Finance, Immigration, Telekom, British High Commission, Heritage Park)
10am-12pm Feeder 4:Customers on Mendana Avenue East (Old ANZ, BSP, Westpac, Hyundai Mall, Central Market and surrounding areas), MID, SIWA, Fijian Quarters .

Feeder 6: CBSI, Mendana Avenue (Mendana Hotel, Central Police Station,  SIVB, Solomon Motors, PCYC, Savo St, Commonwealth Street, Dowling Street (SIPA, Customs & Excise and Bowman’s)

12pm-2pm Feeder 2: Skyline, some of Koa Hill, East and West Kola Ridge , Tanuli, Naha areas,  Kukum areas, Mbua Valley, Mbokonavera Heights , Lower Kaibia, Zion, Kombivatu, Green Valley , Adeliua, Old and New China Town areas, Koloale, Lawson Tama, Lord Howe Settlement, Vara Creek and Surrounding areas, Tuvaruhu, Marble Street
Feeder 5: Anthony Saru, Parliament Building, Tongs,  Fox Street, Chaka Street, Guppy Sreet , Tom Yu Building, City Centre Building, NPF Plaza, Hot Bread P/Cruz

The public is advised to treat all lines as live at all times as power will be restored without warning. To avoid damages to electrical appliances due to this unstable power situation, all plugged in electrical appliances and equipment should be switched off until this fault is restored.
