TENDER – JOB EVALUATION EXERCISE PROJECT NUMBER: SIEA–HQ–J-0218

Solomon Islands Electricity Authority (SIEA) now trading as Solomon Power (“Solomon Power”) is seeking bids from experienced entities to conduct its Job Evaluation Exercise.

Solomon Power is a vertically integrated state owned enterprise that owns, maintains & operates the Solomon Islands national electricity grid. We’re going through transformational change with a robust SBD$1b capital infrastructure development & network expansion.

Solomon Power invites tenderers to submit a proposal (“the Proposal) to carry out a Job Evaluation Exercise (“the Exercise”) of Solomon Power positions under the auspices of the Project number quoted above.

The outcomes from the Exercise are critical as part of the platform for further Solomon Power people strategies. Solomon Power is at the juncture for its next level of development and growth and with around eight (80) positions and projected 260 permanent employees by the end of 2018. It is therefore incumbent upon us at this stage to have a baseline in place for the relative worth of jobs within our organisational structure.

The objectives, scope and expected outcomes of the Exercise will be available in the Terms of Reference (“TOR”) which will be available upon request with Solomon Power’s Senior Human Resources Business Partner, Droumand Rupert, via email address: Droumand.Rupert@solomonpower.com.sb.

Interested parties are welcome to participate in a dial in/telephone conference which will address any questions from interested parties. Solomon Power will organise this. The dial in/telephone conference will be at 3pm Solomon Islands time Friday 16th February 2018.  Interested parties are to make known to Mr. Rupert of their intention to be part of the dial in/telephone conference via email address Droumand.Rupert@solomonpower.com.sb before close of business Thursday 15th February 2018.

All queries in relation to this Proposal are to be forwarded to Mr. Rupert, Senior Human Resources Business Partner, on email address Droumand.Rupert@solomonpower.com.sb  as soon as possible and in any event no later than five (5) working days before the closing time for the Proposal.

A Proposal must be submitted no later than 3.00pm (Solomon Islands time), Friday 02nd March 2018. There are two options available to interested parties for their submissions. Proposals may either be submitted electronically before 3.00pm (Solomon Islands time), Friday 02nd March 2018 to restricted Solomon Power email address: JEE2018@solomonpower.com.sb or alternatively, a Proposal can also submitted by hand in a sealed envelope addressed to the Chief Executive Officer, c/-Solomon Power, Ranadi Head Office, Honiara before 3.00pm (Solomon Islands time) Friday 02nd March 2018 and placed in the Solomon Power Tender Box marked “Tender Job Evaluation Exercise”. The Tender Box will be placed in the Reception area, Solomon Power Head Office, Ranadi, Honiara.

A Proposal must be identified by the Project Number SIEA–HQ–J-0218 and addressed to the Chief Executive Officer.

The opening of the “Tender Box” (both electronic and physical) will take place at 3.30pm (Solomon Islands time) Friday 02nd March 2018.
