Outstations Coordinator and Electrical Technician

We are looking for committed driven and passionate individuals to join our team in the following roles:

This role reports to the Manager Generation and Outstation and provides a direct link between the outstation operations (OICs) and Honiara on all administrative and day to day communications and interactions on all outstation matters.

Primary objectives:

  1. Coordinate all administrative communications between Solomon Power Outstations and Head Office
  2. Coordinate and manage reports, statistics, fuel stocks and timesheets for all outstation
  3. Manage outstation requests including dissemination and follow up with various teams
  4. Manage orders, requisitions, consumable items, stationery for Power station and outstations
  5. Purchase requests through Solomon Power System and process
  6. Coordinate and carry out requests for outstation travel
  7. Carry out and support administrative activities for Generation and Outstation Department

QUALIFICATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

 Qualification:

Certificate in Business / Office Administration/Administrative Assistant or equivalent.

 

Experience:

At least 3-5 years in similar position

 

Skills:

  • Effective communication skills – both written and oral
  • Must be computer literate
  • Must have high interpersonal skills
  • Excellent customer services skills
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License

This role reports to the Electrical Engineer

Primary objectives:

  1. Undertake as required the construction, installation, upgrade, testing and commissioning of HV and LV electrical systems in accordance and compliance with AS/NZS3000.
  2. Periodic inspection and maintenance of all generation, transmission and distribution system
  3. Repair and Maintenance of all electrical plants and auxillary equipment to ensure plant maximum plant availability
  4. Daily maintenance of safe housekeeping practise at the Electrical Workshop
  5. Switching and operating work associated with the network and in accordance with the authorized switching practices
  6. Carry out tasks associated with conductive assessment and performance monitoring

  • Tertiary Qualification in Electrical Engineering (Trade Certificate, Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree) and relevant industrial experience.
