POWER STATION OPERATORS

 

Solomon Islands Electricity Authority trading as Solomon Power invites applications from qualified individuals for Power Station Operator – Honiara. The Power Station Operator is responsible for monitoring, controlling of generators and accurate recording of all generator operational parameters.

The role reports to Power Station Operator Team Leader, Solomon Power. It is a full-time role and the incumbent will ensure:

  • Efficient monitoring, control and accurate recording of all generators operational parameters.
  • Technical effectiveness and efficiency of plant operations ensured
  • Effective, Quality and timely reports
  • A healthy, safe and OHS compliant workplace is ensured
  • Environmental Management is supported and promoted
  • Organizational values promoted and demonstrated at all times

Qualification: Trade Certificate Mechanical Engineering

Experience:

  • At least One to two years of experience in a similar industry
  • Good written and oral communication skills in English
  • Accurate and correct reporting skills both written and verbal
  • Good Analytical skill and ability
  • High Customer relations service skills

FORKLIFT OPERATOR & STOREMAN

 

Solomon Islands Electricity Authority trading as Solomon Power invites applications from qualified individuals for Forklift Operator & Storeman-Honiara. The position directly liaises with the Stores and Procurement Department to deliver transportation and movement of stocks, materials, consumables, spare parts and all other supplies to and from the point of delivery to the warehouse.

The role reports to Stock Controller, Solomon Power. It is a full-time role and the incumbent will ensure:

  • Operations Effectively Managed.
  • Technical Expertise Demonstrated and Provided
  • Operationally Compliant Department
  • Satisfied Customer through Quality Service Delivery
  • A Healthy, Safe and OHS Compliant Solomon Power
  • Environmental Protection is Prioritized at all Times
  • Organizational values promoted and demonstrated at all times

Qualification: Organizational values promoted and demonstrated at all times

Experience:

  • At least three years of experience in a similar role
  • Familiar with warehouse instructions, practices and processes
  • Good written and oral communication skills in English
  • Accurate and correct reporting skills both written and verbal
  • Able to read and understand loading capacity of the Machine and the workload (SWL), Safety Signage, etc
  • Able to identify/asses risk and make recommendation.
